Judge Heidi Meinzer
Keynote · Circuit Court Judge
Judge Meinzer brings extensive legal experience to the bench. She finished her law degree at Georgetown University Law Center in 2000 and launched her career as a public defender in Alexandria, Virginia. Following six years in that role, she transitioned to civil litigation with a Northern Virginia firm.
In 2013, she established her own practice and quickly gained labor law expertise by representing the Metropolitan Washington Airports Police Association. She later worked with I.U.P.A. Local 5 in Alexandria and helped Prince William County Police Association become I.U.P.A. Local 5010.
Her practice focused on collective bargaining efforts, contract grievances, and disciplinary grievances. Drawing on her criminal law background, she also represented officers in criminal and administrative proceedings in officer-involved shootings and other critical incidents.
In 2025, she transitioned from private practice to the bench, becoming a Circuit Court Judge for Alexandria in Northern Virginia.
